LASIK Candidates
These are general guidelines for determining who is or is not a Lasik candidate. Consult Francis J. Clark, M.D., Wills Eye Surgeon, for a complete evaluation of your candidacy.

- Stable vision over the previous year.
- No eye injury with the past year.
- No eye infections within the past year.
- No autoimmune disorders.
- No history of Herpes in the eye.
- No corneal scarring.
- Must not be nursing or pregnant on day of surgery.
- Dry Eye syndrome patients are potential candidates, but must be thoroughly pre-screened.
- People with dilated pupils beyond seven millimeters are not good
candidates.
Candidates undergoing Lasik surgery, as with all surgery, must understand surgical risks, and must have realistic expectations as to surgery results.
